Lombok Family Fun!
We are often asked whether Lombok is a good place to bring children, and whether Selong Selo Resort & Residences is a family-friendly resort. And the answer is a definite and resounding “YES!”, especially now that we have the kids club opening at the beginning of next month.
While it may not be quite the same bustling hive of tourist activity as it’s more popular neighbour Bali, that is actually part of Lombok’s appeal when it comes to family holidays. It’s a place to really relax, unwind, reconnect with one another and enjoy some healthy outdoor fun, away from traffic, busy crowds and street vendors. Nowadays children can be overloaded in their everyday lives with scheduled activities and mounting school pressures. A holiday here allows them to switch off and immerse themselves in the simplicity and back-to-nature vibe of the Lombok experience – no ipads necessary!
In honour of our newly opening kids club, we decided to bring you a short guide to travelling to Lombok with children this month, as well as showcase a few of our beautiful family-friendly villas.
If you’ve not yet planned your next school holidays or Christmas vacation why not take advantage of our special offers on villa rental, and enjoy some fun Lombok family time! Email: email@example.com to make your booking or enquiry.

TRAVELLING TO LOMBOK WITH KIDS
WHAT TO BRING:
The climate in South Lombok is usually mild and tropical, however it can occasionally get cool in the evenings, so it’s a good idea to pack a few warmer clothes for the little ones. Be sure to bring hats, sunscreen and swimsuits for days at the beach and pool. A wearable baby carrier will prove far more useful than a stroller for getting around. Our restaurant is fully equipped to cater for children, however if your kids have any particular favourite snacks that they can’t live without it might be a good idea to bring a supply with you. For parents travelling with small babies it is recommended that you bring a sufficient supply of formula, nappies and swim nappies with you as specific brands may be hard to come by locally.
HEALTH & VACCINATION:
As with any travel within South East Asia, you should check with your doctor or paediatrician before travel to ensure that your child’s immunisation records are up to date. It is also a good idea to bring a small supply of essential children’s medications such as children’s panadol, antihistamines and antiseptic cream.
Aura’s dining menu has been created with children in mind, with popular favourites like fish and chips, burgers, pastas and delicious hand-tossed pizzas. Kids can even make their own pizza with our Chef! If you wish to cook your children’s favourite dishes, our staff can purchase groceries so you can do so in the villa’s fully equipped kitchen, which is especially useful for quick bites such as sandwiches and stir fries. Special dietary needs can be catered for, just let us know when you make your booking.
